How do I transfer between LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3?
The main interchanges are Taft Avenue (MRT-3) ↔ EDSA (LRT-1), Araneta Center-Cubao (MRT-3 ↔ LRT-2), and Doroteo Jose (LRT-1) ↔ Recto (LRT-2). Each is a short walk across a connecting bridge.
Do I need a new ticket when transferring lines?
Yes for single-journey tokens — they are line-specific. A Beep card works across all three lines with fare calculated based on total distance traveled.
How long does an interchange take?
Allow 5–10 minutes to walk between stations at LRT/MRT interchanges. Taft–EDSA and Cubao transfers include an elevated walkway.
When do LRT and MRT trains run?
LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 operate from 04:30 AM to 09:30 PM on weekdays, and 05:00 AM to 09:30 PM on Sundays. Last trains may depart earlier from terminal stations.
