
About Manila Cathedral
The Manila Cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila, located within Intramuros. Destroyed and rebuilt eight times due to typhoons, earthquakes, fires, and war. The current Romanesque Revival structure, completed in 1958, features a magnificent rose window, Italian marble floors, hand-carved choir pews, and an ornate altar. The three bronze doors depict scenes from Philippine Catholic history.
